The village of Progled is small authentic village typical for the Rhodope Mountain.
Established in 1892 the place has preserved its Bulgarian spirit and traditions. It is the closest village to the famous mountain resort, Pamporovo. Its extremely picturesque nature makes the village attractive both during summer and winter. The views you can enjoy from its slopes are impressive – Murgavets Peak and Golyam Perelik Peak, the tower on Snezhanka Peak from one side, and from the other – the largest astronomy observatory within the Southeastern Europe – “Rozhen”, and all of this on the background of the amazing Rhodopes. Vast meadows, centuries old pines, plenty of small paths leading to pitch-dark forests and tiny chapels, the babble of the nearby brook, the protected fauna, the fresh air and silence, all attract the tourists in the village of Progled.
